About Me

Hi, I’m Tash Lockie and I moved with my family to beautiful Hawkes Bay from Wellington in 2019. In Wellington I had a Yoga studio called Beginner Yogi (now called The Yoga Studio) and we specialised in introducing beginners to yoga with my beginners course. I have had the honour of taking 900+ people through my beginners course and I’m excited to now share my love for yoga with Hawke’s Bay.

8 Week Beginner Yoga Course

Now offered in two locations: Proactive Physio, Taradale AND Yin Yoga, Napier.

My beginners yoga course has been taught to over 900 people since I created it in 2015. I like to encourage a relaxed, supportive and safe environment for people to learn in with a focus on creating a sustainable practice that you can enjoy for as long as you like.

The 8 week beginners course is suitable for ages 16 years and up. If you have a younger member of the family who is wanting to join, are/or have been injured, or are pregnant, please email me directly to discuss.

Please bring: a yoga/exercise mat and a pillow/cushion for sitting on.
Please wear: comfortable clothing you can stretch in!

We will dive deeper into the hips and upper body this week and what being still means.

Week 6 - Yin

We explore a more flowing style of yoga and break down Sun Salutations.

Week 3 - Vinyasa

We explore a more flowing style of yoga and break down Sun Salutations.
For the last two weeks we will put everything together and mindfully breathe and move.

Week 7 - Flow

For the last two weeks we will put everything together and mindfully breathe and move.
This week is still all about flowing, and we add in some more standing postures.
